Why I Will Always Support Charities
I am always aware that my work is possible because of my God-given gifts – this is something I never take for granted, and so I believe there is time for giving back. I also believe we are always in the right place at the right time.
Over the past 44 years, I have had the privilege of encountering numerous charity workers who dedicate their lives to supporting various causes. During these interactions, I felt inspired to contribute my time and skills to aid their fundraising efforts. Whether through interactive demonstrations or engaging presentations, I have been able to help raise money for the charities they champion. Each experience has been rewarding, allowing me to see the positive impact of collective efforts on the lives of those in need. I cherish these moments of connection, knowing that every penny raised brings hope and assistance to individuals and communities.
My enthusiasm for fundraising has truly blossomed into a rewarding experience, thanks to the incredible support from friends who have generously contributed not only their financial resources but also their unique gifts. Many have shared their talents, including mediums, healers, psychics, disc jockeys, and comedians, enriching our events with their presence. Additionally, I have been fortunate to receive CDs crafted by some of my talented friends, as well as books they’ve written, which have added a personal touch to our efforts. I am profoundly grateful to everyone who has participated — your kindness and creativity inspire me to continue this journey and make a positive impact together. Thank you all for being such a vital part of this!

Charity NOW
For the foreseeable future we will be using all fund-raising money to educate one Kenyan girl, and aid 6 Malawi children to have a good education by donating clothes and necessary items to enable then to attend school. The ultimate aim is so they will be able to support their families for the future. Two of the Malawi children are now due to go to senior school following their exams. When I send the money to a young man (Henry Chiwindi) he buys the things they need and sends receipts and photos back to me.
Each year I go to visit friends in Nairobi, paying my own expenses. Susan, a young lady who is there currently is going to college to train in community health, thanks to the generosity of those who support my fundraising. The money I send goes directly to the college and I receive receipts immediately.
I will continue to make sure our charity money is spent correctly at all times.
My Thanks to everyone who has supported us.

Emfeni School Project & Fife 2 Malawi.
I was introduced to the Emfeni school project by my good friend Fraser Gifford and here is his story.......
From 2003 to 2022 we funded education in Malawi which was supported by fundraising by Spiritualist Churches and development groups. The first project was supporting a Emfeni Community Day School in Mabulabo, Mzimba, we provided desks, chairs, school text books, library books and student fees. It was a successful venture but stopped when the headmaster was replaced, the incoming headteacher was wanting the funds transferred to his private bank account and the project was stopped. The following project was assisting an orphan organisation in Mulanje from 2008 - 2010 but this was also stopped due to questionable financial operations. It was at this organisation that I met Henry Chiwindi who was computer teacher for one of the orphan centres, Henry despaired at the treatment of the children and the volunteers by the charity and was ultimately sacked by them for disclosing the truth about how it was run.
From 2010 we funded student fees at mainly community days schools for students from the poorest families, Henry liaised with schools for lists of students struggling to pay fees, and we sent money to Henry to pay the fees and he in return sent receipts from the bank and the school. Henry also visited the schools and sent photos of the sponsored students so donors could see where funds were spent. During the 2016 food crisis, Henry visited remote villages to gather the names of the 20 poorest residents - elderly, disabled, and people with children - and we provided food. With help of Spiritualist Churches in Kirkcaldy, Dunfermline, and Dundee in Scotland along with help from Spiritualist centres in Lancashire we provided food for over 1000 people. Henry again provided receipts for the purchases, photos of the food being distributed and letters of thanks from the Village Chiefs.
Around 2018 we had sponsorship at schools in Mulanje, Phalombe, Thyolo and Blantyre districts, we also started a pen pal group for a primary school in Mulanje which Val and friends participated in. It was at this time I had decided to stop the work that I had been doing In Malawi, the friends who had worked along with me were getting older, some had died and I was not keeping in the best health either. As the students left school, we did not replace them and by 2022 all the projects except the pen pal projects had finished. The 6 children that were on that project are now ready to start secondary school and Val feels that she cannot dessert them in need for an education. If this project continues, I can assure you that Henry will continue to work to assist the children there, Henry is an honest and hardworking man, he is a Christian, he teaches and plays music in churches in Southern Malawi. He will always provide you with receipts and photos of where the funds are spent.
The above work was carried out under the names: Emfeni School Project and then Fife 2 Malawi. These were not registered charities as the majority of the funding was raised by myself and friends from Spiritualist Churches/Centres.
